About this award

Get at least $2,500 for your first year of undergraduate studies if you are graduating from a Calgary public or separate school — apply by May 30, 2026.

You can receive one award valued at a $2,500 minimum. This is a scholarship, not a loan, so you do not have to pay it back. If you maintain a full-time course load (as defined by the institution), the award is renewable for three consecutive years of study. This is for you if you are a community-minded student from Calgary who has a strong connection to the Filipino community. You must apply by May 30, 2026. When you apply, ask Calgary Foundation how and when you'll hear back — whether it is by email, phone, or through their portal. Selection criteria aren't published — ask Calgary Foundation how winners are chosen and roughly how many applicants they typically receive so you can judge your odds. The money is applied directly to your tuition. Confirm with Calgary Foundation during your application if there are any other specific payment schedules you should know about. To keep this scholarship for the next two years, you must remain enrolled in a full-time course load. Since specific GPA requirements aren't listed, confirm with Calgary Foundation if you need to maintain a certain average to keep the funding.
